How-to Guide

How to Use PanamAI

A hands-on, step-by-step walkthrough of every feature. Follow along to set up your account, log trades, sync with Google Sheets, and explore analytics.

1. Sign Up & Log In

You need an account to access most features. There are two ways to register:

Option A — Email & Password

1

Go to the registration page

Open panamai.in/register in your browser.

2

Fill in your details

Enter your full name, email address, and a password (minimum 6 characters). Click "Create Account".

3

Go to panamai.in/login, enter your email and password, and click "Sign In".

Option B — Google Sign-In

1

Click 'Continue with Google'

On either the /register or /login page, click the "Continue with Google" button.

2

Choose your Google account

Select your Gmail account from the popup. This also automatically enables Google Sheets sync.

⚠️

You may see a "Google hasn't verified this app" warning. This is normal — we are pending Google verification. Click "Advanced" at the bottom-left, then "Go to panamai.in (unsafe)". Your data is 100% safe.

2. Explore the Homepage

After logging in, visit panamai.in — the homepage.

1

Check market status

At the top, you'll see whether NSE/BSE is Open or Closed. Click the badge to expand and see all global markets (NYSE, LSE, Crypto, Forex) with their status and timers.

2

View the live ticker

Scroll down to the Market Overview section. It shows live prices for major indices like NIFTY 50, Bank Nifty, S&P 500 etc.

3

Choose a platform

The "Choose Your Platform" section has 4 cards. Click "Trading Dashboard" to go to the trading cockpit, or "Financial Dashboard" for your portfolio.

4

Contact us

Scroll to the bottom to find the contact form. Use it to send feedback, report bugs, or request features.

3. Use the Trading Cockpit

Navigate to panamai.in/trade — your pre-market preparation dashboard.

1

Review the Setup Checklist

Before taking any trade, go through the 5-point checklist on the left. Tick each box: trend alignment, price near key level, volume expansion, OI confirmation, and risk-reward ≥ 1:2. This enforces discipline.

2

Check your Trading Rules

The Trading Rules card reminds you of your limits: max 2 trades/day, 0.5-1% risk per trade, 2% daily max loss, no trades after 2:45 PM.

3

Scan the Trading Universe

See your 8 core stocks (HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Reliance, etc.) with lot sizes and current prices. These are the instruments you focus on.

4

Reference the Playbook

The Strategy Playbook at the bottom shows pre-defined setups (Breakout Long, VWAP Bounce, Iron Fly) with exact entry, stop-loss, and target rules.

5

Review your analytics

Scroll further down to see your Journal Analytics — the same charts from the full journal. Review past performance before the market opens.

4. Add Trades to the Journal

Navigate to panamai.in/platform/journal — the full trade journal.

1

Click"+ Add Trade"

Click the blue "+ Add Trade" button in the top-right. A form modal opens.

2

Fill in trade details

Fill in the fields:

  • Buy Date — Pick the date you entered the trade.
  • Broker — Type your broker name (e.g., Zerodha, Upstox).
  • Symbol — Select from the dropdown (30+ instruments including NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, RELIANCE, etc.).
  • Type — Choose CE, PE, FUT, EQ, or Intraday. If you pick EQ or Intraday, the Expiry and Strike fields are automatically disabled.
  • Expiry & Strike — For options/futures, pick the expiry date from the calendar and enter the strike price.
  • Quantity, Buy Price, Sell Price — Enter the numbers.
  • Charges — Enter brokerage + taxes.
  • P&L — Leave blank to auto-calculate, or enter manually.
3

Choose Order Type

Toggle between Intraday (sell date = same as buy date) and Normal (you pick a separate sell date). For normal orders, a Sell Date picker appears.

4

Save the trade

Click "Add Trade". The trade appears in your journal table with auto-calculated P&L and a Win/Loss status badge.

💡

To edit a trade, click the pencil icon on any row. The same form opens with all fields pre-filled.

5. Search, Sort & Manage Trades

1

Search for trades

Use the search bar at the top of the table. Type any keyword — symbol, broker, type — and the table filters instantly.

2

Sort by any column

Click a column header (Buy Date, Symbol, P&L, etc.) to sort ascending. Click again for descending. Date columns sort chronologically, not alphabetically.

3

Change rows per page

At the bottom-left of the table, use the dropdown to show 10, 25, 50, or 100 trades per page. Use the page navigation arrows to move between pages.

4

Delete a trade

Click the trash icon on a row. Confirm the deletion. If the trade came from Google Sheets, it is only removed locally — it reappears on the next sync.

5

Bulk delete

Tick the checkboxes on multiple rows, then click "Delete Selected". You'll see a confirmation showing how many are sheet-synced vs. local.

6. Set Up Google Sheets Sync

Sync your journal with a Google Sheet so your trades are backed up and editable in a spreadsheet.

1

Ensure you're signed in with Google

If you registered with email/password, go to panamai.in/platform/settings and click "Connect Google Account". If you signed up with Google, you're already connected.

2

Open the Sheets Sync panel

On the Journal page (panamai.in/platform/journal), click the "Google Sheets" button at the top. A panel opens.

3

Enter your Sheet ID

Open your Google Sheet in a browser. Copy the long ID from the URL (the part between /d/ and /edit). Paste it into the "Sheet ID" field and click "Save".

4

Initialize headers

Click "Init Sheet Headers". This writes the 13 required column headers to row 1 of your sheet: Date, Broker, Symbol, Expiry, Strike, Type, Quantity, Buy Price, Sell Price, Charges, P&L, Order Type, Sell Date.

⚠️

Only click"Init Sheet Headers" once. After headers are set, the button is disabled to prevent overwriting your data.

💡

If you already have data in the sheet with different column names, don't worry — the system recognises common aliases like"Exit Price" for Sell Price,"Charges" for Brokerage, etc.

7. Import, Export & Sync Trades

1

Import from Sheet → Journal

Click "Import from Sheet". All trades from your Google Sheet are pulled into the journal. Local trades you added manually are preserved. Duplicates are automatically skipped.

2

Export from Journal → Sheet

Click "Export to Sheet". Only trades you created locally in the journal are appended to your sheet. Existing sheet data is never overwritten.

3

Full Sync (Merge)

Click "Full Sync (Merge)" for a bidirectional merge. The system reads the sheet, combines with your local trades, removes duplicates, and writes the merged result back. If the merge result is empty, the sheet is NOT cleared (safety net).

How deletions work

Delete a sheet trade from the journal → It reappears on the next import/sync (sheet is untouched).

Delete a trade from the Google Sheet → It disappears from the journal on next import/sync.

Clear all journal entries → The sheet stays intact.

Delete a manually-added trade → It is also removed from the sheet.

8. View Your Analytics

1

Click the"Analytics" tab

On the Journal page, click the "Analytics" tab (next to"Trades"). You need at least a few closed trades (with sell prices) to see charts.

2

Read the Key Metrics

At the top, 6 metric cards show: Win Rate, Net P&L, Expectancy (avg P&L per trade), Profit Factor (gross wins / gross losses), Best Trade, and Worst Trade.

3
